Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a flat, stable surface and secure it with wheel chocks.
2. Check and Clean the IAC
  • Tools Required: Socket set, cleaning spray (throttle body cleaner), soft brush.
  • Remove the IAC valve from the intake manifold.
  • Inspect the valve for carbon buildup.
  • Clean the valve and its seating surface with throttle body cleaner and a soft brush.
  • Reinstall the IAC valve securely.
3. Replace Faulty Components
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench.
  • If the TPS or IAC is found faulty in diagnostics, replace them:
    • Disconnect electrical connectors.
    • Remove mounting bolts and take out the faulty component.
    • Install the new component and torque bolts to manufacturer specifications.
    • Reconnect electrical connectors.
4. Adjust Fuel System
  • Tools Required: Fuel pressure gauge, wrench set.
  • Check fuel pressure against manufacturer specifications; if low:
    • Consider replacing the fuel pump if it is below the required pressure.
    • Inspect and replace fuel filters if clogged.
5. Reassemble and Reconnect
  • Reconnect the battery.
  • Ensure all components are properly secured and connected.
