Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Tools Required: Socket set, multimeter, trim removal tools.
2. Inspect and Replace Fuse
  • Locate the fuse box under the dashboard or in the engine compartment.
  • Remove the cover and locate the power lock fuse using the diagram on the cover.
  • Check the fuse for continuity; if blown, replace it with a fuse of the same amperage (typically 15A).
3. Replace the Power Lock Actuator
  • Remove the door panel using trim removal tools.
    • Carefully pry off any clips and screws holding the panel in place.
  • Disconnect the wiring harness from the power lock actuator.
  • Remove the screws securing the actuator to the door and take out the old actuator.
  • Install the new power lock actuator in reverse order.
  • Reconnect the wiring harness and reassemble the door panel.
4. Replace Power Lock Switch (if necessary)
  • Locate the power lock switch in the driver’s door panel.
  • Use the trim removal tool to gently pry off the switch panel.
  • Disconnect the wiring harness from the switch.
  • Install the new switch by connecting the harness and securing it back in place.
