Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to avoid electrical shorts.
  • Allow the fuel system to depressurize by removing the fuel pump fuse and starting the engine until it stalls.
2. Access Fuel Level Sender
  • Tools Required: Socket set, screwdriver
  • Remove the fuel tank by unscrewing the bolts securing it to the chassis.
  • Lower the fuel tank carefully, ensuring not to damage any fuel lines or wiring.
3. Inspect and Replace Fuel Level Sender
  • Locate the fuel level sender unit within the fuel tank.
  • Disconnect the wiring harness from the sender.
  • Remove the fuel level sender from the tank by unscrewing it or releasing the locking mechanism.
  • Install the new fuel level sender in reverse order of removal and reconnect the wiring harness.
4. Reinstall Fuel Tank
  • Lift the fuel tank back into position and secure it with the previously removed bolts.
  • Reconnect any fuel lines and ensure all connections are tight and leak-free.
5. Reconnect Battery and Test
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
  • Start the vehicle and observe the fuel gauge for proper operation.
