Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
  • Wear safety gloves and glasses.
2. Inspect and Refill Power Steering Fluid
  • Locate the power steering reservoir.
  • Check the fluid level; if low, add the appropriate type of power steering fluid as specified in the owner’s manual.
  • Start the engine and turn the steering wheel from lock to lock to purge air bubbles.
3. Replace Serpentine Belt (if worn)
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
  • Use a socket wrench to relieve tension on the serpentine belt tensioner.
  • Remove the old belt and inspect the pulleys for damage or wear.
  • Install the new serpentine belt according to the routing diagram.
  • Reconnect the battery terminal.
4. Inspect and Replace Transmission Fluid (if needed)
  • Raise the vehicle and securely support it with jack stands.
  • Locate the transmission fluid dipstick; remove it and check fluid level and condition.
  • If low or dirty, drain the transmission fluid using a drain pan.
  • Replace with new transmission fluid according to the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Recheck fluid level and ensure it’s within the acceptable range.
5. Check and Refill Differential Fluid (if necessary)
  • Inspect the differential housing for leaks.
  • Remove the fill plug and check fluid level with your finger; fluid should be just below the fill hole.
  • If fluid is low, add the specified differential fluid until it begins to seep out of the fill hole.
  • Replace the fill plug securely.
