Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool.
2. Check and Replace the Fuel Filter
  • Locate the fuel filter (usually along the fuel line).
  • Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and starting the engine until it stalls.
  • Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel filter using a line disconnect tool.
  • Remove the fuel filter using a socket or wrench.
  • Install the new fuel filter in the same orientation as the old one.
  • Reconnect the fuel lines and reinstall the fuel pump fuse.
3. Inspect and Replace Spark Plugs
  • Remove the engine cover if necessary.
  • Use a socket and ratchet to remove the spark plug wires or ignition coils.
  • Remove the spark plugs using a spark plug socket.
  • Inspect the spark plugs for wear; replace if necessary with OEM recommended parts.
