Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required for the repair.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is off.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to avoid electrical shorts.
2. Replace Headlight Bulbs (if necessary)
  • Remove the headlight assembly by unscrewing the mounting screws.
  • Disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the headlight bulb.
  • Replace the old bulb with a new one, ensuring not to touch the glass part of the bulb with bare hands.
  • Reconnect the wiring harness to the new bulb and reattach the headlight assembly.
3. Clean and Secure Connections
  • Inspect all wiring and connectors related to the headlights.
  • Use electrical contact cleaner on any corroded connections.
  • Tighten loose connections securely and replace any damaged wiring as necessary.
4. Test Battery and Charging System
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
  • Start the engine and use a multimeter to check the voltage at the battery; it should read between 13.7 to 14.7 volts when the engine is running.
  • If the voltage is outside this range, the alternator may need replacement.
5. Replace Headlight Switch (if needed)
  • If the switch is faulty, remove the dashboard panel to access the headlight switch.
  • Disconnect the wiring harness and unscrew the switch.
  • Install the new switch and reconnect the wiring harness.
  • Reassemble the dashboard panel.
