Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety.
  • Allow the engine to cool before starting work.
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Remove the air intake hose from the throttle body using a socket set.
  • Use throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the throttle body surface, removing any carbon buildup.
  • Reattach the air intake hose, ensuring it is secured tightly.
3. Replace Fuel Filter (if necessary)
  • Locate the fuel filter (check service manual for specific location).
  • Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump relay.
  • Disconnect fuel lines from the filter, using a line wrench to avoid damage.
  • Replace the old filter with a new one, ensuring correct orientation.
  • Reconnect fuel lines and reinstall the fuel pump relay.
4. Test and Clean MAF Sensor
  • Disconnect the MAF sensor electrical connector.
  • Remove the sensor from its mounting position.
  • Clean the MAF sensor with MAF cleaner spray (do not use throttle body cleaner).
  • Reinstall the sensor and reconnect the electrical connector.
5. Inspect and Replace Air Filter
  • Remove the air filter housing cover.
  • Inspect the air filter for dirt and debris.
  • Replace with a new air filter if it is clogged or dirty.
  • Reassemble the air filter housing.
