Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required:
    • Wrench or socket set (to disconnect battery terminal)
    • Safety gloves
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe, well-ventilated area to work.
2. Disconnect Battery
  • Using the appropriate wrench or socket, loosen the bolt on the negative battery terminal.
  • Carefully remove the negative terminal and ensure it does not touch any metal surfaces.
3. Drain Residual Power
  • Wait a minimum of 15 minutes to ensure all systems are powered down and any capacitors are discharged.
4. Reconnect Battery
  • Place the negative battery terminal back onto the battery post.
  • Tighten the bolt securely using the wrench or socket, ensuring a good connection.
5. Start Vehicle
  • Turn the ignition key to the "On" position without starting the engine, then to the "Start" position to crank the engine.
  • Allow the engine to idle for a few minutes to stabilize.
6. Test Drive
  • Drive the vehicle gently for about 10-15 minutes, allowing the TCM to relearn the shift patterns and adjust to the driving style.
