1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required for the replacement.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent any electrical short circuits.
  • Allow the engine to cool completely before starting the procedure.
2. Remove the Control Panel
  • Use a flathead screwdriver to carefully pry off the trim panel surrounding the temperature control switch.
  • Remove the screws securing the climate control panel using a socket set.
  • Gently pull the climate control panel away from the dashboard to access the temperature control switch.
3. Disconnect the Old Temperature Control Switch
  • Locate the temperature control switch at the back of the climate control panel.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector by pressing the tab and pulling it straight out.
  • Remove the screws or clips securing the switch to the panel and carefully take out the switch.
4. Install the New Temperature Control Switch
  • Position the new temperature control switch into the climate control panel.
