Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required for the replacement.
  • Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to prevent electrical shocks.
  • Allow the engine to cool down completely.
2. Remove Engine Cover (if applicable)
  • Use a socket set to remove any bolts securing the engine cover.
  • Carefully lift off the engine cover and set it aside.
3. Access Spark Plugs
  • Locate the spark plug wires or ignition coils on the engine.
  • For models with ignition coils, unplug the electrical connector from each coil.
  • Remove the bolts securing the ignition coils using a socket wrench.
  • Pull the ignition coils straight up to remove them from the spark plugs.
4. Remove and Replace Spark Plugs
  • Use a spark plug socket and ratchet to carefully unscrew and remove each spark plug.
  • Inspect the old spark plugs for wear; note the gap and heat rating.
  • Apply a small amount of anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the new spark plugs.
  • Insert the new spark plugs by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten them to the manufacturer’s torque specification (typically around 11-15 lb-ft).
5. Reinstall Ignition Coils and Engine Cover
  • Reinstall the ignition coils by pushing them down onto the new spark plugs.
  • Secure the coils with their bolts and reconnect the electrical connectors.
  • If previously removed, place the engine cover back on and secure it with bolts.
6. Finalizing the Installation
  • Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
  • Start the engine and let it idle to check for smooth operation.
