Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and materials: brake fluid (DOT 3 or DOT 4), brake bleeder kit or clear tubing, a wrench (usually 10mm), and a container to catch old brake fluid.
  • Park the vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
2. Locate Brake Bleeder Screws
  • Identify the brake bleeder valve on each brake caliper (front and rear).
  • Ensure the area around the bleeder is clean to prevent contamination.
3. Bleed the Brakes

Front Brakes

  1. Start with passenger side front brake:

    • Place the clear tubing over the bleeder screw and run the other end into the container.
    • Use a wrench to loosen the bleeder screw slightly.
    • Have an assistant press the brake pedal slowly and hold it down.
    • Tighten the bleeder screw while the pedal is held down to prevent air from being drawn back in.
    • Instruct the assistant to release the brake pedal.
    • Repeat this process until no air bubbles are present in the fluid coming out.
  2. Move to driver side front brake:

    • Repeat the same steps as for the passenger side.

Rear Brakes

  1. Bleed the passenger side rear brake:

    • Follow the same procedure as with the front brakes.
  2. Finish with driver side rear brake:

    • Repeat the same bleeding steps.
4. Final Steps
  • Check the brake fluid level in the master cylinder and top off as necessary.
  • Ensure all bleeder screws are tightened securely.
  • Test brake pedal feel; it should be firm.
