Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: multimeter, socket set, wrench set, wire brush, dielectric grease.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface, and the engine is turned off.
2. Inspect and Replace Headlight Bulbs
  1. Open the hood and locate the headlight assembly.
  2. Disconnect the power connector from the back of the headlight bulb.
  3. Remove the headlight bulb by turning it counterclockwise and pulling it out.
  4. Inspect the bulb for any signs of damage (blackened glass or broken filament). Replace if necessary.
  5. Install the new bulb by inserting it into the socket and turning it clockwise to secure.
  6. Reconnect the power connector.
3. Check and Clean Battery Connections
  1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
  2. Inspect the battery terminals for corrosion and clean them using a wire brush.
  3. Reconnect the negative terminal securely.
4. Test and Replace the Alternator (if necessary)
  1. Start the engine and use a multimeter to check the alternator output at the battery terminals.
  2. If the output is below 13.8 volts, consider replacing the alternator.
  3. To replace, disconnect the battery, remove the serpentine belt, and unbolt the alternator from its bracket.
  4. Install the new alternator and reconnect all necessary wiring.
5. Repair Wiring Harness (if damaged)
  1. If any frayed wires are detected in the headlight wiring harness, repair or replace the affected sections.
  2. Use dielectric grease on connectors to prevent corrosion.
