Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and materials: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, socket set, replacement cabin air filter (if necessary).
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface, and the engine is off. Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Inspect and Replace the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Locate the cabin air filter compartment, typically behind the glove box.
  2. Remove the glove box by releasing any retaining clips and lowering it down.
  3. Slide out the old cabin air filter and inspect it for dirt and debris.
  4. Replace it with a new cabin air filter, ensuring it is oriented correctly based on the airflow direction indicated.
  5. Reattach the glove box.
3. Check and Replace the Fuse
  1. Locate the fuse box by referring to the owner’s manual for its location.
  2. Remove the fuse for the HVAC system using a fuse puller or pliers.
  3. Inspect the fuse for continuity using a multimeter.
  4. If blown, replace it with a fuse of the same amperage rating.
  5. Reinstall the fuse and close the fuse box.
4. Test the Blower Motor
  1. Reconnect the battery.
  2. Start the engine and set the climate control to the defroster mode.
  3. Listen for the blower motor operation. If it is not functioning, check the wiring and connections to the blower motor.
  4. If defective, remove the blower motor by unscrewing any retaining screws and disconnecting the electrical connector.
  5. Replace with a new blower motor if necessary.
