Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and materials.
  • Tools Required:
    • Clean cloth or paper towel
    • Funnel
    • Transmission fluid (check owner's manual for specifications)
  • Safety Warnings:
    • Ensure the engine is cool to prevent burns when handling components.
2. Check Fluid Level
  • Remove the transmission dipstick by pulling it straight out.
  • Wipe the dipstick with a clean cloth to remove any old fluid.
  • Reinsert the dipstick fully and remove it again to check the fluid level.
  • If fluid is below the "Add" mark, proceed to add fluid.
3. Add Transmission Fluid
  • Using a funnel, carefully add the appropriate type of transmission fluid into the dipstick tube.
  • Add fluid in small increments (about 1/2 quart at a time) and recheck the level with the dipstick after each addition.
  • Ensure the fluid reaches the "Full" mark but does not exceed it.
4. Final Check
  • After adding the necessary fluid, reinsert the dipstick and ensure it is secured properly.
  • Start the engine and allow it to run for a few minutes.
  • Shift through all the gear positions again and recheck the fluid level one final time.
