Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Inspect and Clean the Throttle Body
  • Tools Required: Throttle body cleaner, soft brush, rags
  • Remove the air intake duct connected to the throttle body.
  • Use the throttle body cleaner and a soft brush to clean the inside of the throttle body.
  • Wipe the area with a rag to remove any residue.
3. Replace Spark Plugs
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench
  • Remove the ignition coils by unscrewing them and disconnecting the electrical connectors.
  • Unscrew and remove the old spark plugs using a socket wrench.
  • Install new spark plugs, ensuring they are gapped correctly (refer to manufacturer specifications).
  • Reinstall the ignition coils, tightening them to the manufacturer's torque specifications.
4. Check and Replace Fuel Filter (if needed)
  • Tools Required: Fuel line disconnect tool, socket set
  • Locate the fuel filter; disconnect the fuel lines using the fuel line disconnect tool.
  • Remove the fuel filter from its bracket and replace it with a new one.
  • Reconnect the fuel lines and ensure there are no leaks.
5. Clear Error Codes
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
  • Use the OBD-II scanner to clear any stored error codes.
