Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: flathead screwdriver, small Phillips screwdriver, and a new battery (CR2032 or as specified in the manual).
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a secure area with no distractions.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Open the Key Fob:

    • Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
    • Be careful not to damage the casing or internal components.
  2. Remove the Old Battery:

    • Take note of the battery orientation.
    • Carefully lift the old battery out using the screwdriver or your fingers.
  3. Install the New Battery:

    • Insert the new battery in the same orientation as the old one.
    • Ensure it sits snugly in place and makes good contact with the terminals.
  4. Reassemble the Key Fob:

    • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until they click securely.
3. Reprogram the Key Fob (if necessary)
  1. Enter Programming Mode:

    • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position (not starting the engine).
    • Turn the key back to "Off" and remove it.
    • Repeat this process 8 times within 10 seconds, ending in the "On" position.
  2. Program the Key Fob:

    • Press any button on the key fob within 30 seconds of entering programming mode.
    • The locks should cycle to confirm successful programming.
  3. Exit Programming Mode:

    • Turn the ignition back to "Off" to exit programming mode.
