Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
  • Raise the vehicle securely with jack stands.
2. Inspect Suspension Components
  • Strut and Shock Absorber Inspection:

    • Remove any covers or shields.
    • Check for oil leakage on shocks/struts.
    • Verify that they are securely mounted.
  • Control Arm and Bushing Inspection:

    • Inspect control arms for cracks or bends.
    • Check bushings for cracks or excessive wear.
3. Tighten Loose Components
  • Using a torque wrench, tighten all suspension bolts and nuts to the manufacturer's specified torque values.
  • Replace any damaged hardware as necessary.
4. Replace Worn Components
  • If any components are found to be worn or damaged, replace them as follows:
    • Shock Absorbers:

      1. Remove the bolts securing the shock absorber.
      2. Detach the shock from the mounting points.
      3. Install the new shock absorber and secure it with bolts.
    • Control Arm Bushings:

      1. Remove the control arm from the vehicle.
      2. Press out the old bushings and install new ones.
      3. Reinstall the control arm and secure it.
5. Reassemble and Lower Vehicle
  • Reattach any covers or shields that were removed during the inspection.
  • Lower the vehicle back to the ground and remove jack stands.
