Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required for the repair.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety.
  • Allow the engine to cool down before starting work.
2. Replace Spark Plugs and Ignition Coils
  • Remove the engine cover (if applicable) using a socket set.
  • Disconnect the electrical connectors from the ignition coils.
  • Unbolt the ignition coils using a socket wrench and remove them.
  • Replace the spark plugs using a spark plug socket, ensuring they are gapped correctly to manufacturer specifications.
  • Reinstall ignition coils and reconnect electrical connectors.
3. Clean Throttle Body
  • Remove the air intake duct connected to the throttle body by loosening the clamps with a screwdriver.
  • Use throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the inside of the throttle body, ensuring the butterfly valve operates smoothly.
  • Reattach the air intake duct securely.
4. Inspect and Replace Air Filter
  • Open the air filter housing by unclipping or unbolting it.
  • Remove the old air filter and inspect for dirt and debris.
  • Install a new air filter that meets OEM specifications and reassemble the housing.
5. Fuel System Cleaning
  • If necessary, add a fuel system cleaner to the gas tank or use a pressurized injector cleaning system to clean the injectors.
  • Follow the product instructions for the specific fuel system cleaner used.
