Solution

1. Preparation

• Gather tools and parts required for the repair.
• Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent any electrical issues while working.

2. Change Engine Oil and Filter

• Tools Required: Oil filter wrench, socket set, drain pan
  • a. Raise the vehicle using a jack and secure it on jack stands.
  • b. Remove the oil drain plug and allow old oil to drain completely into the pan.
  • c. Replace the oil filter using the oil filter wrench.
  • d. Install the drain plug and refill with new engine oil per manufacturer specifications.

3. Replace VVT Solenoid

• Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench
  • a. Locate the VVT solenoid, usually near the camshaft cover.
  • b. Disconnect the electrical connector from the solenoid.
  • c. Remove the mounting bolts securing the solenoid and take it out.
  • d. Install the new VVT solenoid and secure it with the mounting bolts. Torque bolts to manufacturer's specifications.
