Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface.
  • Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to warm up the transmission fluid.
  • Gather necessary tools: a clean lint-free cloth.
2. Locate and Remove the Dipstick
  • Open the hood and locate the transmission dipstick (refer to the owner's manual if necessary).
  • Carefully pull the dipstick out of the tube.
3. Check Fluid Level
  • Wipe the dipstick clean with a lint-free cloth to remove any fluid.
  • Fully reinsert the dipstick into the tube and remove it again.
  • Check the fluid level against the markings on the dipstick. The level should fall within the "Full" range.
4. Add Fluid if Necessary
  • If the fluid level is low, use a funnel to add the correct type of transmission fluid (usually Mercon LV for Ford).
  • Add fluid gradually, checking the level frequently to avoid overfilling.
5. Replace the Dipstick
  • Once the fluid level is correct, securely replace the dipstick back into the tube.
  • Close the hood of the vehicle.
