Solution

1. Preparation

• Gather necessary tools and parts.
• Disconnect the battery to avoid electrical shorts.
• Allow the engine to cool if it has been running.

2. Inspect and Replace Fuel Cap

• Remove the fuel cap and inspect for damage or wear.
• If damaged, replace it with a new OEM fuel cap.
• Ensure the new cap seals properly.

3. Clean or Replace the EVAP Canister

• Remove the EVAP canister from its mounting.
• Inspect for clogs or cracks; clean or replace as necessary.
• Reinstall the EVAP canister and ensure all connections are secure.

4. Check and Clean Fuel Injectors

• Remove the fuel injectors from the fuel rail.
• Use a fuel injector cleaning kit to clean the injectors or replace them if they are leaking.
• Reinstall the cleaned or new fuel injectors securely.

5. Test and Replace Fuel Pump (if necessary)

• Connect a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail.
• Turn the ignition to the "ON" position without starting the engine and check the pressure reading.
