Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface and the engine is off.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Replace the Wiper Fuse
  • Locate the fuse box, typically located in the glove compartment or under the dashboard.
  • Identify the wiper fuse using the diagram on the fuse box cover.
  • Remove the faulty fuse and replace it with a new one of the same amperage.
  • Reconnect the battery and test the wipers.
3. Inspect and Replace the Wiper Switch (if faulty)
  • Remove the steering column cover using a socket set.
  • Disconnect the wiring harness from the wiper switch.
  • Remove the wiper switch by unscrewing it from the steering column.
  • Install the new wiper switch and reconnect the wiring harness.
  • Reassemble the steering column cover and test the wipers.
4. Test and Replace the Wiper Motor (if necessary)
  • If the wiper motor is unresponsive, remove it by unscrewing the mounting bolts.
  • Disconnect the motor’s electrical connector and inspect for corrosion or damage.
  • Connect the motor directly to a power source to ensure it operates.
  • If it does not work, replace the wiper motor with a new unit.
  • Reinstall the motor and reconnect the electrical connector.
5. Check Wiper Relay
  • Locate the wiper relay in the fuse box.
  • Remove the relay and check for continuity using a multimeter.
  • Replace the relay if it's faulty.
