Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the ignition is off.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on the electrical system.
2. Remove Fuel Injector
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, pliers, fuel line removal tool.
  • Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and starting the engine until it stalls.
  • Disconnect the fuel lines from the injector rail using a fuel line removal tool.
  • Remove the injector electrical connector carefully using pliers if necessary.
  • Unbolt the fuel rail from the engine using the socket set and gently lift the fuel rail with injectors out.
  • Remove the injector from the rail by pulling it straight out.
3. Inspect and Clean
  • Check the injector for signs of clogs or debris. Clean the injector tip with a suitable cleaner.
  • Inspect the O-rings for damage and replace if necessary. Use new O-rings if reinstalling the injector.
4. Install New Injector (if required)
  • Tools Required: Torque wrench.
  • Insert the new or cleaned injector into the rail, ensuring it seats properly.
  • Reattach the fuel rail to the engine, securing it with bolts to the manufacturer’s torque specifications.
  • Reconnect the fuel lines and the electrical connector to the injector.
5. Reconnect Battery and Test
  • Reconnect the battery.
  • Replace the fuel pump fuse and turn the ignition to the "on" position to prime the fuel system.
  • Start the engine and check for leaks around the injector area.
