Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, socket set, torque wrench, jack, jack stands.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the ignition is turned off.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical shocks while working.
2. Remove the Front Left Wheel
  • Loosen the lug nuts on the front left wheel using a socket wrench.
  • Lift the vehicle using a jack and secure it with jack stands.
  • Completely remove the lug nuts and then take off the wheel.
3. Inspect and Replace the Wheel Speed Sensor
  • Locate the front left wheel speed sensor near the brake assembly.
  • Disconnect the sensor's electrical connector by pressing the tab and pulling it apart.
  • Remove the mounting bolt(s) securing the sensor using a socket wrench.
  • Carefully pull out the old sensor from its housing.
  • Install the new wheel speed sensor by reversing the removal steps:
    • Insert the new sensor into the housing.
    • Secure it with the mounting bolt(s) and torque them to the manufacturer’s specifications (typically around 8-10 Nm).
    • Reconnect the electrical connector until it clicks into place.
4. Reinstall the Wheel
  • Place the wheel back onto the hub and hand-tighten the lug nuts.
  • Lower the vehicle from the jack stands and onto the ground.
  • Once on the ground, use a torque wrench to tighten the lug nuts to the manufacturer's specifications (usually around 120 Nm).
5. Reconnect Battery and Clear Codes
  • Reconnect the battery terminals.
  • Use the OBD-II scanner to clear the C0010 fault code and any other stored codes.
  • Start the vehicle and check for warning lights on the dashboard.
