Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Socket set, Torque wrench, Clutch alignment tool, Jack and jack stands, Brake cleaner.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and engage the parking brake. Disconnect the battery to ensure safety during repairs.
2. Remove the Transmission
  1. Raise the vehicle using a jack and secure it on jack stands.
  2. Remove the underbody shield if equipped.
  3. Disconnect the driveshaft from the transmission.
  4. Detach any electrical connectors and sensors from the transmission.
  5. Unbolt the transmission from the engine block using a socket set.
  6. Carefully lower the transmission from the vehicle.
3. Inspect and Replace the Clutch
  1. Remove the clutch assembly (pressure plate, disc, and flywheel).
  2. Inspect the flywheel for scoring or damage; replace if necessary.
  3. Install the new clutch disc onto the flywheel and align it using a clutch alignment tool.
  4. Reinstall the pressure plate and torque the bolts to the manufacturer's specifications (usually around 25-30 Nm, but verify with the service manual).
4. Reassemble the Transmission
  1. Carefully lift the transmission back into place and align it with the engine.
  2. Reattach all electrical connectors and sensors.
  3. Bolt the transmission back to the engine block using the socket set.
  4. Reconnect the driveshaft and any underbody shields removed.
5. Refill Clutch Fluid and Test
  1. Reconnect the battery.
  2. Check and refill the clutch fluid to the recommended level.
  3. Bleed the clutch system to remove any air from the hydraulic lines.
