Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Park the vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical shorts.
2. Remove Ignition Coils
  1. Remove the engine cover if applicable.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the ignition coils by pressing the release tab and pulling them off.
  3. Remove the bolts or clips securing the ignition coils using a socket set.
  4. Carefully pull the ignition coils out of the spark plug wells.
3. Inspect and Replace
  1. Inspect the removed ignition coils for any signs of damage or wear.
  2. If faulty, install new ignition coils by:
    • Applying a small amount of dielectric grease to the rubber grommet of the new coils.
    • Inserting the new coils into the spark plug wells and securing them with bolts or clips.
  3. Reconnect the electrical connectors to the ignition coils until they click into place.
4. Reassemble and Test
  1. Reinstall the engine cover if removed.
  2. Reconnect the battery.
  3. Start the engine and monitor for any engine misfire symptoms or warning lights.
