Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: a small flathead screwdriver or a coin, and the new battery (CR2032).
  • Ensure the vehicle is turned off and parked safely.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the small slot or notch on the side of the key fob.
  • Insert the flathead screwdriver or coin into the slot and gently twist to pry open the fob.
  • Carefully separate the two halves of the key fob without damaging the casing.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Identify the battery compartment and take note of the battery orientation (positive and negative sides).
  • Gently slide or lift the old battery out of the compartment using the screwdriver if necessary.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Place the new CR2032 battery into the compartment, ensuring the correct orientation aligns with the markings (+ and -).
  • Press down gently until the battery is securely seated.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob back together.
  • Press firmly until you hear a click, indicating it is fully closed.
  • Ensure there are no gaps around the edges of the fob.
6. Test the Key Fob
  • Stand near the vehicle and press the buttons to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Confirm that both the locking and unlocking mechanisms work as intended.
