Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is cool.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical issues.
2. Check Oil Level
  • Remove the dipstick and wipe it clean.
  • Reinsert the dipstick fully, then remove it again to check the oil level.
  • If low, add the appropriate oil type (refer to the owner's manual).
3. Replace Oil Filter
  • Use an oil filter wrench to remove the old oil filter.
  • Ensure the rubber O-ring from the old filter is not stuck to the engine.
  • Lubricate the O-ring of the new filter with fresh oil and install it, tightening by hand.
4. Inspect and Replace Oil Pressure Sending Unit
  • Locate the oil pressure sending unit (typically near the oil filter).
  • Disconnect the electrical connector and unscrew the sending unit using a socket.
  • Install the new sending unit and reconnect the electrical connector.
5. Replace Oil Pump (if necessary)
  • Drain the engine oil by removing the oil drain plug and allowing it to fully empty.
  • Remove the oil pan by unbolting it and carefully prying it off.
  • Unscrew the oil pump from its mounting location.
  • Install the new oil pump, ensuring proper alignment and torque specifications are followed.
  • Reinstall the oil pan with a new gasket and torque the bolts to the manufacturer's specifications.
6. Refill Engine Oil
  • Reinstall the oil drain plug and fill the engine with new oil through the oil fill cap.
  • Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to circulate the oil.
