Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools such as a small screwdriver, battery replacement kit, and a multimeter if needed.
  • Ensure you have a replacement battery (typically CR2032) for the key fob.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Use a small screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
  • Take care to avoid damaging the casing; work around the edges.
3. Replace the Battery
  • Remove the old battery and note its orientation (positive and negative sides).
  • Insert the new battery in the same orientation.
  • Ensure the battery is seated properly in its slot.
4. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until they click back into place.
  • Double-check that the casing is securely closed and there are no gaps.
5. Reprogram the Key Fob (if necessary)
  • Sit in the driver's seat and close all doors.
  • Insert the working key fob into the ignition and turn to the ON position without starting the engine.
  • Wait for 10 seconds, then turn the key back to the OFF position and remove it.
  • Press any button on the key fob for 30 seconds to allow the vehicle to recognize it.
