Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, socket set, torque wrench, wire brush
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shock.
2. Replace Headlight Bulbs
  1. Remove the headlight assembly:
    • Unscrew the mounting bolts using a socket set.
    • Carefully pull out the headlight assembly.
  2. Disconnect the headlight connector:
    • Press the release tab and pull the connector away from the bulb.
  3. Replace the bulb:
    • Remove the old bulb by turning it counterclockwise.
    • Insert the new bulb (ensure it is the correct type) and turn it clockwise to secure.
  4. Reconnect the headlight assembly:
    • Plug the headlight connector back in.
    • Reinstall the headlight assembly and secure it with mounting bolts.
3. Inspect and Repair Wiring
  1. Check wiring harness:
    • Inspect the wiring for frays, cuts, or corrosion.
    • Use a wire brush to clean any corroded connections.
  2. Repair or replace damaged wires:
    • Use electrical tape to insulate any minor repairs.
    • For severe damage, replace the affected section of the wiring harness.
  3. Verify ground connections:
    • Locate and clean the ground points associated with the headlight circuit.
4. Replace Headlight Relay (if necessary)
  1. Locate the relay box:
    • Refer to the owner's manual for the location of the headlight relay.
  2. Remove the faulty relay:
    • Pull the relay straight out of its socket.
  3. Install the new relay:
    • Firmly push the new relay into the socket.
