Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: small screwdriver, replacement battery (CR2450), and a clean cloth.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked, and all systems are turned off.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Open the Key Fob:

    • Use a small screwdriver to gently pry apart the two halves of the key fob. Be careful not to damage the casing.
  2. Remove Old Battery:

    • Take note of the battery orientation, then carefully remove the old battery from its compartment.
  3. Install New Battery:

    • Insert the new CR2450 battery in the same orientation as the old one, ensuring it is seated properly.
  4. Reassemble Key Fob:

    • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until they click securely.
3. Reprogram Key Fob (if necessary)
  1. Enter Programming Mode:

    • Sit inside the vehicle and close all doors. Insert the key into the ignition, turn it to the "On" position (do not start the engine) and then back to "Off" without removing it.
  2. Activate Key Fob Programming:

    • Within 30 seconds, press the "Unlock" button on the key fob. The locks should cycle to indicate successful entry into programming mode.
  3. Complete Programming:

    • Press the "Lock" button on the key fob to complete the programming. Turn the ignition key to the "Off" position and remove it.
