Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is cool.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Inspect and Clean the Throttle Body
  • Tools Required: Throttle body cleaner, microfiber cloth, socket set.
  • Remove the air intake duct connected to the throttle body.
  • Use a throttle body cleaner to spray and wipe the inside of the throttle body with a microfiber cloth.
  • Reattach the air intake duct securely.
3. Check and Replace Fuel Filter
  • Tools Required: Fuel line disconnect tool, socket set, catch container for fuel.
  • Relieve fuel pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and starting the engine until it stalls.
  • Disconnect fuel lines using the fuel line disconnect tool and remove the old fuel filter.
  • Install the new fuel filter, ensuring all connections are secure.
4. Inspect Spark Plugs and Coils
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench.
  • Remove the ignition coil covers.
  • Inspect spark plugs for wear; replace if necessary.
  • Reinstall coils ensuring they are seated properly and torque to manufacturer specifications.
5. Transmission Fluid Check
  • Tools Required: Torque wrench, transmission fluid dipstick (if applicable).
  • Check the transmission fluid level with the engine running and at operating temperature.
  • If fluid is low or dirty, drain and replace with the manufacturer-recommended fluid.
