Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: flathead screwdriver, socket set, vacuum cleaner, cleaning cloths, and disinfectant spray.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked in a well-ventilated area.
2. Replace Cabin Air Filter
  1. Open the glove compartment and remove any contents.
  2. Detach the stop arm on the right side of the glove compartment to allow it to swing down.
  3. Locate the cabin air filter cover and remove it by unclipping it.
  4. Pull out the old cabin air filter and inspect it for dirt or mold.
  5. Install the new cabin air filter, ensuring it is oriented correctly.
  6. Reattach the cover and reassemble the glove compartment.
3. Clean HVAC System
  1. Turn on the vehicle and set the HVAC to the maximum fan speed.
  2. Use a disinfectant spray designed for HVAC systems and spray it into the air intake (located at the base of the windshield).
  3. Allow the system to run for 10-15 minutes to circulate the disinfectant through the vents.
  4. Turn off the HVAC and allow the vehicle to air out.
4. Inspect and Clear Drainage
  1. Check the sunroof and windshield drain tubes for blockages.
  2. Use a flexible wire or compressed air to clear any obstructions.
  3. Ensure that water flows freely from the drainage areas.
