Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all required tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical issues during repairs.
2. Check and Recharge Refrigerant
  • Tools Required: Manifold gauge set, refrigerant
  • Connect the manifold gauge set to the AC service ports (high and low).
  • Check the pressure readings against the manufacturer's specifications.
  • If low, evacuate the system using a vacuum pump and recharge with the correct amount of refrigerant.
3. Inspect and Replace AC Compressor (if necessary)
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, refrigerant oil
  • Remove the drive belt to access the AC compressor.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector and refrigerant lines from the compressor.
  • Remove the mounting bolts and take out the AC compressor.
  • Install the new compressor and torque the bolts to manufacturer specifications.
  • Reconnect the refrigerant lines and electrical connector.
4. Replace Cabin Air Filter
  • Tools Required: None (or basic hand tools for cover removal)
  • Locate the cabin air filter compartment (usually behind the glove box).
  • Remove the cover and take out the old filter.
  • Install the new cabin air filter in the correct orientation and replace the cover.
5. Clean/Replace AC Condenser
  • Tools Required: Hose or compressed air, cleaning solution (if necessary)
  • Inspect the condenser for debris and clean it with compressed air or a hose.
  • If damaged, remove the condenser by disconnecting the lines and mounting bolts, then install a new one.
