Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on the fuel system.
2. Inspect and Replace Fuel Filter
  1. Locate the fuel filter (typically under the vehicle near the fuel tank).
  2. Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and running the engine until it stalls.
  3. Disconnect the fuel lines from the filter using a line wrench.
  4. Remove the fuel filter from its mounting bracket.
  5. Install the new fuel filter in the correct orientation (check flow direction).
  6. Reconnect the fuel lines securely.
3. Check and Replace Fuel Injectors (if necessary)
  1. Remove the engine cover to access the fuel rail and injectors.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connectors from each fuel injector.
  3. Remove the fuel rail bolts and gently lift the rail to access the injectors.
  4. Inspect the injectors for signs of clogging; replace if necessary.
  5. Install new injectors (apply a small amount of engine oil to the O-rings for easier installation).
  6. Reassemble the fuel rail and reconnect all electrical connections.
4. Reassemble and Test
  1. Reconnect the fuel pump fuse and battery.
  2. Turn the ignition to the "ON" position without starting the engine to pressurize the fuel system.
  3. Check for leaks around the fuel filter and injectors.
  4. Start the engine and let it idle; monitor for rough running or any warning lights.
