Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Multimeter, socket set, OBD-II scanner, wire brush, replacement fuses.
  • Park the vehicle in a safe area and ensure the ignition is off.
  • Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to prevent any electrical shorts.
2. Inspect and Replace Fuse
  • Locate the fuse box; consult the owner's manual for the exact location of the stereo fuse.
  • Remove the appropriate fuse using a fuse puller or pliers.
  • Check the fuse for continuity with a multimeter; replace with the same amperage if blown.
3. Check Wiring Connections
  • Remove the stereo unit from the dashboard using the appropriate tools.
  • Inspect and clean the power connector and ground connection at the back of the stereo.
    • Sub-steps:
      • Disconnect the wiring harness.
      • Use a wire brush to clean any corrosion.
      • Reconnect securely after cleaning.
4. Test Power to Stereo
  • With the stereo unit still removed, reconnect the battery.
  • Use a multimeter to measure voltage at the power lead of the stereo while the ignition is on.
  • If voltage is present, reconnect the stereo and test functionality.
5. Reinstall Stereo
  • If all connections are secure and the power is restored, reinstall the stereo unit back into the dashboard.
  • Ensure all screws and clips are fastened properly.
