Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: flathead screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, and gloves.
  • Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the ignition.
  • Open the hood and secure it with the prop rod for safety.
2. Remove the Headlight Assembly (if necessary)
  • Locate the screws or bolts securing the headlight assembly.
  • Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws.
  • Gently pull the headlight assembly out from the front of the vehicle, being careful not to damage any clips or wiring.
3. Remove the Old Bulb
  • Locate the bulb socket at the rear of the headlight assembly.
  • Twist the bulb socket counterclockwise to release it from the housing.
  • Carefully pull the old bulb straight out of the socket.
4. Install the New Bulb
  • Take the new bulb (ensure it's the correct type: typically H7 for the X3 G01) out of its packaging.
  • Avoid touching the glass part of the bulb with bare hands; use gloves or a cloth to prevent oil contamination.
  • Insert the new bulb into the socket and push it in until it clicks into place.
  • Reattach the bulb socket by aligning it with the housing and twisting it clockwise until secure.
5. Reinstall the Headlight Assembly (if removed)
  • Align the headlight assembly back into the housing.
  • Secure it by re-inserting and tightening the screws or bolts that were removed.
6. Test the New Bulb
  • Turn on the vehicle and activate the headlights to verify that the new bulb is functioning properly.
