Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: jack, lug wrench, and spare tire.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in "Park" (automatic) or in gear (manual) and engage the parking brake.
  • Wear safety gloves to protect your hands.
2. Loosen Lug Nuts
  • Use the lug wrench to turn the lug nuts counterclockwise while the tire is still on the ground.
  • Loosen each lug nut by approximately half a turn; do not remove them completely at this stage.
3. Jack Up the Vehicle
  • Position the jack under the designated jacking point (refer to the owner’s manual).
  • Raise the vehicle until the flat tire is off the ground.
  • Ensure the jack is stable before proceeding.
4. Remove Flat Tire
  • Fully remove the loosened lug nuts and place them in a safe location.
  • Carefully pull the flat tire straight off the hub and set it aside.
5. Install Spare Tire
  • Align the spare tire with the hub and push it onto the hub until it is seated properly.
  • Hand-tighten the lug nuts onto the studs to secure the spare tire.
6. Lower the Vehicle
  • Carefully lower the vehicle back to the ground using the jack.
  • Once the tire is on the ground, remove the jack.
7. Tighten Lug Nuts
  • Use the lug wrench to tighten the lug nuts in a star pattern to ensure even pressure.
  • Tighten each lug nut to the manufacturer’s specified torque (generally around 80-100 Nm, but refer to the owner’s manual for specifics).
8. Store Flat Tire and Tools
  • Place the flat tire, jack, and lug wrench back in the vehicle.
  • Ensure all tools are securely stored before driving.
