Solution

1. Preparation

• Gather necessary tools and parts.
• Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.

• Remove the ignition coil on cylinder 1.
  • Tools Required: Socket set, ratchet.
• Remove the spark plug using a spark plug socket.
  • Check the spark plug for wear, carbon buildup, or damage.
• If necessary, replace the spark plug with a new one that meets OEM specifications.
  • Torque the new spark plug to 22 Nm (16 lb-ft).
• Reinstall the ignition coil.

3. Check and Replace Ignition Coil

• If the spark plug is in good condition, test the ignition coil for proper operation using a multimeter.
• If defective, remove the ignition coil from cylinder 1.
