Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather required tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe, well-lit area.
  • Disconnect the battery to avoid any electrical issues during the repair.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Remove the key fob from the keyring.
  2. Use a small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
  3. Remove the old battery from the compartment.
  4. Insert a new CR2450 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
  5. Snap the key fob casing back together securely.
3. Reprogram Key Fob (if necessary)
  1. Sit in the driver’s seat with all doors closed.
  2. Insert the physical key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position.
  3. Press and hold the lock button on the key fob for about 10 seconds.
  4. Turn the ignition off and remove the key.
  5. Test the key fob to see if it responds correctly.
4. Check Antenna Functionality
  1. Locate the keyless entry antenna (usually near the front windshield or in the rear).
  2. Inspect the antenna for any visible damage or loose connections.
  3. If damaged, replace the antenna with a new one.
