Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is off.
  • Disconnect the battery to avoid electrical shorts.
2. Remove the Wheel
  • Tools Required: Jack and jack stands, lug wrench.
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Loosen the lug nuts on the front left wheel.
    2. Lift the vehicle with a jack and secure it with jack stands.
    3. Remove the lug nuts and take off the wheel.
3. Replace the Wheel Speed Sensor
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench.
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Locate the front left wheel speed sensor connected to the wheel hub.
    2. Disconnect the sensor connector carefully.
    3. Remove the bolt(s) securing the wheel speed sensor using a socket.
    4. Pull the sensor out of its mounting location.
    5. Install the new wheel speed sensor in reverse order and torque the bolt(s) to the manufacturer's specifications (typically around 10-12 Nm).
    6. Reconnect the sensor connector securely.
4. Reassemble the Wheel
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Place the wheel back onto the hub.
    2. Hand-tighten the lug nuts.
    3. Lower the vehicle from the jack stands.
    4. Torque the lug nuts to the manufacturer's specifications (typically around 120 Nm).
5. Reconnect Battery and Test
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Reconnect the battery terminal.
    2. Start the vehicle and allow it to idle.
    3. Check for any warning lights on the dashboard.
