Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, socket set, screwdrivers, multimeter, fuel pressure gauge, cleaning supplies (throttle body cleaner, rags).
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool.
  • Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for safety.
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Locate the throttle body and remove the intake duct.
  • Use throttle body cleaner and a clean rag to wipe the interior of the throttle body and remove any carbon buildup.
  • Reinstall the intake duct and reconnect the battery terminal.
3. Replace Spark Plugs and Ignition Coils
  • Remove the engine cover if applicable.
  • Disconnect the electrical connectors from the ignition coils.
  • Unbolt and remove the ignition coils.
  • Remove the old spark plugs using a spark plug socket; inspect for wear.
  • Install new spark plugs (ensure correct gap according to manufacturer specifications).
  • Reinstall ignition coils and reconnect the electrical connectors.
4. Inspect and Clean Fuel Injectors
  • If fuel injectors are suspected to be clogged, use a fuel injector cleaning kit.
  • Follow the manufacturer's instructions to clean the injectors or replace them if necessary.
  • Ensure proper sealing and reconnect fuel lines.
5. Check for Vacuum Leaks
  • Visually inspect all vacuum hoses for cracks or disconnections.
  • Use a smoke machine to detect any vacuum leaks in the intake manifold or associated components.
  • Replace any damaged hoses.
