Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, UV dye kit, UV light, socket set, torque wrench, clean rags, transmission fluid
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and securely lifted with jack stands.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Identify and Repair the Leak Source
  • Transmission Pan:

    • Remove the bolts securing the transmission pan using a socket set.
    • Carefully lower the pan and inspect the gasket and the pan for damage.
    • Clean the mating surfaces and replace the gasket if damaged.
    • Reinstall the pan and torque bolts to the manufacturer's specifications (typically 10-12 Nm).
  • Seal Replacement:

    • For input/output shaft seals, remove the driveshaft or any components obstructing access.
    • Use a seal puller to remove the old seal and clean the area.
    • Lubricate the new seal with transmission fluid and install it using a seal installer.
  • Cooler Line Replacement:

    • Disconnect the cooler line fittings using a line wrench.
    • Replace any damaged lines with OEM parts.
    • Reconnect and ensure all fittings are tight.
3. Refill Transmission Fluid
  • Remove the fill plug and add the correct type of transmission fluid (check owner's manual for specifications) until it reaches the proper level.
  • Start the vehicle and cycle through the gears to ensure proper fluid distribution.
