Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, socket set, screwdrivers, and a headlight tester.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface with the engine off and the key removed from the ignition.
2. Replace Headlight Bulbs (if necessary)
  1. Open the hood and locate the headlight assembly.
  2. Remove the headlight cover or access panel by unscrewing any retaining screws.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the bulb.
  4. Remove the old bulb by turning it counterclockwise and pulling it out.
  5. Insert the new bulb by aligning it properly and turning it clockwise to secure.
  6. Reconnect the electrical connector and replace the cover.
3. Inspect and Repair Wiring
  1. Visually inspect the wiring harness connected to the headlight for any frays, corrosion, or loose connections.
  2. If damage is found, repair or replace the affected wiring as necessary.
  3. Use electrical tape or heat-shrink tubing to insulate any exposed wires.
4. Test the Alternator
  1. Start the engine and allow it to warm up.
  2. Use the multimeter to measure the voltage at the battery terminals.
  3. If the voltage is below 13.8V, the alternator may need to be replaced or repaired.
5. Replace Headlight Relay (if faulty)
  1. Locate the relay box, usually found in the engine compartment.
  2. Identify the headlight relay using the diagram on the cover of the relay box.
  3. Remove the faulty relay by pulling it straight out.
  4. Insert a new relay in the same position and ensure it is seated properly.
