Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather the following tools:
    • Flathead screwdriver (for opening the fob)
    • Multimeter (for battery testing)
  • Ensure the vehicle is within range and all doors are closed.
2. Open Key Fob
  • Use the flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob at the seam.
  • Carefully separate the two halves to avoid damaging internal components.
3. Replace Battery
  • Remove the old battery and dispose of it properly.
  • Install the new battery (CR2032) with the correct polarity (+ side facing up).
  • Ensure the battery is seated properly in its compartment.
4. Reassemble Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until they click back into place.
  • Avoid forcing the pieces together to prevent damage.
5. Reprogram Key Fob (if necessary)
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position (do not start the engine).
  • Press the unlock button on the key fob for about 10 seconds.
  • Turn the key to the "OFF" position and remove it.
  • Test the key fob to see if it is functioning.
