Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, socket set, cleaning solution.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety.
  • Allow the engine to cool before beginning work.
2. Clean Throttle Body
  • Remove the air intake duct connecting to the throttle body using a socket set.
  • Use throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth or brush to clean the interior of the throttle body.
  • Inspect the throttle plate for free movement and ensure it opens fully when pressed.
  • Reinstall the air intake duct and secure with bolts.
3. Inspect and Replace Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor (if necessary)
  • Locate the accelerator pedal assembly under the dashboard.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the accelerator pedal position sensor.
  • Remove the mounting screws and carefully detach the sensor from the pedal assembly.
  • Install the new APP sensor by reversing the removal steps and reconnect the electrical connector.
4. Update ECM Software (if necessary)
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
  • Use an OBD-II scanner to check for available software updates for the ECM.
  • Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to update the ECM software if an update is available.
