Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Flathead screwdriver, T30 Torx screwdriver
  • Wear gloves to prevent dirt and debris from contaminating the new filter.
  • Ensure the vehicle is turned off and parked on a level surface.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Open the glove compartment and empty its contents.
  2. Locate the two stops on the sides of the glove compartment. Squeeze the sides inward to disengage them, allowing the glove compartment to swing down fully.
  3. Remove the cover of the cabin air filter housing by unscrewing the T30 Torx screws (typically 2-4 screws) securing it in place.
  4. Carefully pull the cover off to expose the cabin air filter.
3. Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
  1. Grasp the old cabin air filter and carefully pull it out from its slot. Take note of its orientation for installing the new filter.
  2. Inspect the housing for any debris or leaves and clean it if necessary.
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  1. Take the new cabin air filter and ensure it is oriented correctly (the airflow direction should match the arrows on the filter frame).
  2. Slide the new filter into the housing until it is fully seated.
5. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  1. Reattach the cover of the cabin air filter housing and secure it with the T30 Torx screws.
  2. Push the glove compartment back into place and ensure the stops are engaged.
  3. Refill the glove compartment with its contents.
