Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, flathead screwdriver, Torx screwdriver set, and replacement battery for the key fob (if needed).
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked safely and the engine is off.
2. Key Fob Battery Replacement
  1. Open the key fob using a flathead screwdriver carefully to avoid damaging the casing.
  2. Remove the old battery and replace it with a new one (typically a CR2032).
  3. Reassemble the key fob and verify the new battery is properly seated.
3. Reprogramming the Key Fob
  1. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position without starting the engine.
  2. Press the "Lock" button on the key fob for approximately 5 seconds.
  3. Turn the ignition key back to the "OFF" position and remove it.
  4. Test the key fob to see if it now locks and unlocks the doors.
4. Inspect and Replace Door Lock Actuators
  1. Remove the door panel using a Torx screwdriver and a flathead screwdriver to carefully pry off clips.
  2. Disconnect the wiring harness from the door lock actuator.
  3. Test the actuator with a multimeter to ensure it receives power when the lock button is pressed.
  4. If the actuator is faulty, replace it with a new one by reversing the disassembly steps.
