Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Tools Required:
    • Flathead screwdriver
    • Torx screwdriver (T20 or T25)
    • New cabin air filter
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
2. Remove Access Panel
  1. Open the glove compartment and empty its contents.
  2. Locate the stops on the sides of the glove compartment and gently push them inward to allow the compartment to drop down.
  3. Using a Torx screwdriver, remove the screws securing the access panel located behind the glove compartment.
  4. Carefully detach the access panel from the dashboard.
3. Replace Cabin Air Filter
  1. Locate the cabin air filter housing.
  2. Slide the old filter out of the housing, noting its orientation for the new filter installation.
  3. Clean any debris from the filter housing using a soft cloth or vacuum.
  4. Insert the new cabin air filter into the housing, ensuring it is oriented correctly (check for airflow direction arrows on the filter).
4. Reassemble Components
  1. Reattach the access panel and secure it with the screws removed earlier.
  2. Reposition the glove compartment, ensuring it snaps back into place.
  3. Close the glove compartment and ensure everything is secured.
