Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required for the repair.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shock.
  • Allow the engine to cool before starting work.
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Remove the air intake hose connected to the throttle body using a socket set.
  • Use throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth or brush to clean the throttle plate and surrounding area.
  • Reinstall the air intake hose securely.
3. Replace Fuel Filter (if applicable)
  • Locate the fuel filter based on the vehicle's service manual.
  • Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and starting the engine until it stalls.
  • Disconnect the fuel lines from the filter using a line disconnect tool.
  • Replace the old filter with a new one, ensuring correct orientation of the flow direction.
  • Reconnect the fuel lines and reinsert the fuel pump fuse.
4. Inspect and Clean the MAF Sensor
  • Locate the MAF sensor in the air intake system.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the sensor from its housing.
  • Use MAF sensor cleaner to gently clean the sensor elements.
  • Reinstall the MAF sensor and reconnect the electrical connector.
5. Reconnect Battery
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal and ensure it is secure.
6. Test Drive
  • Start the engine and allow it to idle to check for any abnormal sounds or issues.
  • Take the vehicle for a test drive to confirm that the stalling issue has been resolved.
